Overview: Songwriter Bonnie W. Daniels wrote "American Hero" to honor and thank American troops fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. Vocals were recorded by Nashville artist Chris Burke. 20,000 copies were sent to deployed troops in Iraq. Bonnie uses her music to raise funds to help severely wounded American troops. She donates proceeds from her song downloads and CDs to nonprofit organizations dedicated to assisting severely wounded troops and their families.
