The American Legion Club in Napoleon does it again with their Spring Fling Polkafest scheduled for Sunday, May 5, from 1 till 7.

The newly renovated American Legion Hall will be great for all to see and enjoy. The spectacular music planned will keep us dancing on one of the greatest dance floors in the region. We look forward to live music, great entertainment by Marv and the Moonlighters from Mandan plus the Aman Family Band from South Dakota.        KBMR announces the area's first BIG polkafest on March 17th at the Bismarck Eagles Club located at 26th Street and Rosser Avenue-BISMARCK! Two fantastic dancing bands performing the best in waltzes, two-steps, and polka music by the Dakota Rangers from South Dakota and the Queen City Band from Dickinson.   Dancing time is from NOON till 8 PM. The cost is $10.00 and that includes a ROAST BEEF dinner served at 4 PM. (There will also be a club pancake breakfast from 9-noon.)

       We will be broadcasting the HAPPY HOUR live from the Bismarck Eagles Club so bring in your requests!! Happy St. Patrick's Day POLKAFEST style on Sunday, March 17th! WE are excited to meet you there.

Sunday, November 25th is the DATE!

   It's the annual "After Thanksgiving" Polkafest at the Mandan Eagles Club, 1400 Collins Avenue, Mandan, North Dakota.

   Dancing begins at 12:00 until 8:00 with two bands! Live music from the Queen City Band, Dickinson, and the Aman Family Band from Leola, South Dakota. GREAT entertainment and the admission is $10.00 and that includes your meal. KBMR will be there live with the Happy Hour from 11-2PM. Be sure to THANK the Mandan Eagles for this EVENT! Because of GREAT listeners like YOU, this event has been an annual tradition now for many years!!!

   Also, coming up on the HAPPY HOUR at KBMR is live music in our studio on December 2nd. Jerry Schlag and Myron Dammen (JMB BAND) will be entertaining us LIVE on the Sunday Happy Hour for 2 hours.

   LIVE music to fit the season scheduled on our Happy Hour program for December 9th with Marv Zander and the MOONLIGHTERS. LIVE old time music (Christmas style) on KBMR - be sure to tune in.

     Calling all dancers and lovers of old time music to Napoleon for their 21st Annual Polka Party on Saturday, Sept. 29th and Sunday Sept. 30th!!! 

Six GREAT bands! Here is the line-up:

Saturday - White Rose Band from Fargo, Don & Shawn Roller Band from Montana, and homegrown Victor Wald band from Napoleon.

Sunday - Queen City Band, Dakota Rangers, and Wes Schaible Band both from South Dakota.

      The American Legion Hall opens on Saturday at 12:30 and a supper will be served in the evening.

     A Polka Mass at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church at 10 AM on Sunday, lunch at the American Legion at 11:00 (doors open at 10:30) and a GREAT supper planned for Sunday evening.

     Admission $10.00 per person per day!!! The GOOD old days revisited at the American Legion Hall, Napoleon, North Dakota Sept. 29th & 30th. I'm looking forward to seeing you on Sunday with a live broadcast. Bring requests to me as we will broadcast the HAPPY HOUR LIVE from noon to 2:00 on 11:30 KBMR, Bismarck.

Welcome everyone to the GREAT PLAINS POLKAFEST!

     It is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 25th and 26th at the AMVETS Club, 2402 Railroad Avenue, Bismarck. Admission price is ten dollars per day with an extra charge for the food being served.

     Sausage, knoephla, & kraut is being served Saturday evening between 5:30-8:00 for a fee of $6.50. Entertainment on Saturday is Dennis Ficor from Canada, the Queen City Band, and Dakota Rangers.

     Sunday Polka Mass begins at 9:45 (no tickets required to attend the Mass). A breakfast buffet is being served after the Mass for a fee of $5.50. Soup & Sandwich served from 4-7:00 for a fee of $3.50. Entertainment on Sunday is Dennis Ficor from Canada, Marv Zander, and the Dakota Rangers.

      Sheldon Babeck will be a guest on the Happy Hour Sunday, August 19th from 1-2 to give you more information about this annual Bismarck event! The Happy Hour will be broadcast from the AMVETS on Sunday, August 26th from 11:00 - 2:00. We are looking forward to meeting and greeting all the people for the Great Plains Polkafest in Bismarck!
