FARGO, N.D. (AP) _ The chief economist for the country's largest oil and natural gas trade organization says North Dakota should be looked as an example by the rest of the country.
John Felmy with the American Petroleum Institute was in Fargo on Thursday speaking with local business leaders.
Felmy said the rest of the country could learn from how North Dakota has managed its energy resources.
He said that if the country developed existing resources and biofuels and imported oil from Canada, the United States could eliminate non-North American energy imports by 2024.
