JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) _ A man who pointed a shotgun at Jamestown police officers has been given a two-year suspended prison sentence.
Judge Thomas Merrick on Monday ordered Michael Partlow to spend five years on supervised probation. Merrick says Partlow won't serve prison time if he completes his probation without getting into trouble.
Merrick ordered Partlow to pay $550 in fees and do 150 hours of community service.
Partlow was accused of pointing a shotgun at police officers in December 2010 at a Jamestown apartment building. He was shot several times. Police were responding to reports of a suicidal man at the building.
Last March, a jury convicted Partlow of terrorizing. He had been facing a sentence of up to five years in prison.
