BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) _ North Dakota's Board of Higher Education is working to tighten admission policies for international students after problems at Dickinson State University.
The board on Wednesday gave initial approval to changes dealing with foreign student transcripts, English language proficiency standards and student recruiting agents. All were identified as problems in an audit of Dickinson State.
The investigation found that DSU awarded degrees and certificates to almost 600 Chinese students who did not qualify for them.
