GARRISON, N.D. (AP) _ Fort Stevenson State Park on Lake Sakakawea will be filled with kites of every size, shape and color this weekend.
The Sky Dance Sakakawea Kite Festival is Saturday through Monday. It is the 20th anniversary of the annual event at the park south of Garrison.
The North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department says members of the American Kite Flying Association will be on hand to demonstrate kite flying. Kites will range from stunt kites to inflatable ones the size of small trucks.
People who want to take part in the festival can bring their own kites. And children will have the opportunity to make a kite.
