DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) _ The west-end floodwater diversion outlet on Devils Lake is running at capacity for the first time this year.
State Engineer Todd Sando said that the second of two pumps that were repaired at a California facility was put back in place Tuesday.
The outlet moves excess lake water into the Sheyenne River. An east-end outlet is expected to be fully operational by the end of the month. Sando says that will more than double the capacity.
