An old junior high school in the oil boom
town of Williston is being converted to low-income housing for
seniors.
Officials say the cost of the conversion is pegged at $8.5
million and will be funded by federal housing programs.
The school building was built and 1931 and has been shuttered
for several years. Plans call for 22 one-bedroom apartments and 22
two-bedroom apartments at the newly named Lutheran Social Services
Legacy Living facility.
Officials say the project is slated to be completed by September
2013.
