BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) _ The State Bar Association of North Dakota has appointed a task force to gather information on the impact the state's oil boom has had on the state's justice system.
The task force will hold four public meetings this month to collect information from the public, attorneys and state and local government officials. The meetings will examine the effect the oil boom has had on the courts, clerks of court, state's attorneys, probation officers and others.
The first meeting is in Bismarck on Tuesday at the Burleigh County Courthouse. A June 19 meeting is scheduled for Dickinson. A meeting will be held in Williston on June 26 and in Minot on June 27.
