Origin of Fargo 'plant bombs' remains unknown
Share Email Bookmark

Potted tomato plants have been popping up

around downtown Fargo for about a month, and no one knows where

they came from.

A laminated card that accompanies the so-called ``plant bombs''

encourages passers-by to help water and care for them _ and eat

them. The

tomatoes are starting to ripen.

Lauryn Whitmer organizes a local community gardening group and

says she's getting close to figuring out who is responsible. She

says the plants highlight the concept of community gardening.
