VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) _ Officials say Valley City is no longer pumping into the Sheyenne River after a master lift station plug was broken during maintenance.
Sewage flow into the river was halted Friday afternoon.
Officials say the master lift station holds all of the city's sewage and pumps it into the  sewage lagoon system. During routine maintenance the plug to the master drain failed and inundated the station.
Officials estimate sewage was pumped into the river for about 30 hours before the problem was fixed.
