North Dakota man faces attempted murder charge

FARGO, N.D. (AP) _ A 21-year-old Fargo man faces kidnapping and

attempted murder charges after he reportedly beat his ex-girlfriend

with a car jack handle, choked her and threatened to kill her if

she went to police.

Mason William Seaborn was arrested Sunday at his home in Fargo. He was being held

today in the Cass County Jail in Fargo while he awaits extradition

to Clay County in Minnesota. No lawyer was listed on court

documents for Seaborn.

The woman told authorities she was drinking with Seaborn when he

reportedly became angry. He reportedly began punching and hitting

her with a jack handle in his car.

Authorities say the woman had a broken front tooth, marks and

cuts and was heavily bruised.
