BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) _ An El Salvador citizen who was deported
twice from the United States has been sentenced for illegally
entering the country a third time.
Carlos Guerrero-Gutierrez pleaded guilty earlier to re-entry of
deported alien.
Authorities say Guerrero-Gutierrez was a passenger in a vehicle
that was stopped for a traffic violation on July 2 near Watford
City.
Guerrero-Gutierrez was convicted of sexual battery in Oklahoma
in 2003 and was deported. He illegally entered the United States
again and was deported in 2008.
U.S. District Judge Patrick Conmy on Monday sentenced
Guerrero-Gutierrez to two yeas and three months in prison.
