BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) _ North Dakota's main pheasant hunting
season doesn't open for another week, but some young hunters will
be in the field this weekend.
The two-day youth pheasant hunting season is Saturday and
Sunday. The state Game and Fish Department says legally licensed
residents and nonresidents age 15 and younger can hunt statewide.
The regular pheasant season opens next Saturday and runs through
Jan. 6. Game and Fish estimates there are about 59 percent more
pheasants this year than last in North Dakota.
