GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) _ A church in Grand Forks that received
financial help from a New Jersey congregation after the devastating
1997 Red River flood is repaying the kind deed in the wake of
Superstorm Sandy.
St. Michael's Church and School in Grand Forks plans special
collections this weekend to help out St. Michael's Catholic Church
in Long Branch, N.J., which was battered last week by Sandy.
Development Director Debbie Patella says the damaged New Jersey
church is grateful for the help.
The New Jersey church gave the Grand Forks church $12,000 15
years ago.
