BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) _ The National Weather Service has issued a
variety of winter weather advisories, watches and warnings for
North Dakota as a storm moves in from the Rockies.
Forecasters say the storm will bring heavy snow to some areas of
the state and freezing drizzle to others. It will linger through
the weekend. Areas of South Dakota also could see snow or a mix of
rain and snow, though the worst conditions are expected to be in
North Dakota.
A travel alert is in effect in western and south central North
Dakota due to poor driving conditions including freezing rain and
scattered ice.
Officials in McKenzie County and Billings County in western
North Dakota are advising ``no travel'' because of ice.
