BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) _ The National Weather Service has issued a
variety of winter weather advisories, watches and warnings for
North Dakota as a storm moves in from the Rockies.
Forecasters say the storm will bring heavy snow to some areas of
the state and freezing drizzle to others. It will linger through
the weekend. Areas of South Dakota also could see snow or a mix of
rain and snow, though the worst conditions are expected to be in
North Dakota.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a
no-travel advisory for the northwest region of the state due to
freezing rain.
A travel alert is in effect in southwestern and south central
North Dakota due to poor driving conditions including freezing rain
and scattered ice.
