FARGO, N.D. (AP) _ A North Dakota computer specialist is accused
of possessing and possibly sharing a large amount of child
pornography at his home and on his computer.
57-year-old Robert Carey Evans, of Fargo, has been charged in Cass County District
Court with 13 counts of possession of prohibited materials. Each
charge is punishable by up to five years in prison and a $5,000
fine.
Authorities say they found several DVDs of child pornography in
Evans' living room, on bookshelves and on an ironing board. Digital
files were also taken off of his computer. Evans' bond was set at
$200,000 cash during a Friday court appearance.
Evans' lawyer, Nicholas Thornton, could not be reached for
comment.
