BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) _ Republicans in the North Dakota House and
Senate will be picking their floor leaders for the 2013 Legislature
this week.
Senate Republican leader Rich Wardner says he'll be seeking
another term as majority leader. In the House, incumbent Republican
leader Al Carlson of Fargo is running for another term.
Neither Wardner nor Carlson has an announced challenger.
On the Democratic side, House Democratic leader Jerry Kelsh of
Fullerton is running for another term.
Senate Democrats will have to pick a new leader to replace Ryan
Taylor of Towner. Taylor ran unsuccessfully for governor, and he
won't be back in the Senate next year.
Assistant Senate Democratic leader Mac Schneider of Grand Forks
says he hasn't decided whether to run for the top job.
