BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) _ North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple says he
doesn't have a timeline for choosing a new state public service
commissioner.
Incumbent commissioner Kevin Cramer was elected to the U.S.
House last week. He says he'll stay on the commission until the end
of the year.
The commission regulates utilities, coal mining, pipelines,
grain elevators, telecommunications and auctioneers.
It has three members. Cramer's term has four years left to run.
The person Dalrymple appoints will have to run for election in 2014
to keep the job.
The commission will have two new members in January. One will be
Cramer's replacement. The second is Hazen Republican state Sen.
Randy Christmann.
Christmann was elected to the PSC last week. He defeated
Democrat Brad Crabtree.
The third commissioner is Republican Chairman Brian Kalk.
