MINOT, N.D. (AP) _ Minot's vacancy rate remains low despite the extensive construction of rental housing.
The Magic City Apartment Association had a vacancy rate of 0.8 percent for June through August.
The national vacancy rate is about 5 percent.
Association president Doug Pfau of Investors Management and Marketing says a rate of 1 to 2 percent in the Minot area indicates a strong demand.
Though it's up slightly from being at virtually zero not long ago, Pfau says the region is going through a normal seasonal adjustment as it heads into winter.
