FARGO, N.D. (AP) _ A North Dakota man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for engaging in sexual acts with three girls.
22-year-old Frederick Wayne Archdale of Fargo was sentenced to three 14-year prison terms, which will be served concurrently, and ordered to undergo sex offender and chemical dependency treatment.
Prosecutors say Archdale engaged in sexual acts with the three girls, all between 7 and 9, between February 2011 and January 2012.
Archdale entered an Alford plea in August to the three counts of gross sexual imposition. An Alford plea means Archdale didn't admit guilt but acknowledged there was enough evidence to convict him.
Archdale's defense lawyer argued for a six-year prison sentence, saying it would give Archdale time to complete sex offender treatment and alcohol treatment.
