FARGO, N.D. (AP) _ Inmates at the Cass County Jail were placed on temporary lockdown after a clothes dryer caught fire.

The mini-blaze began Saturday afternoon, filling one section of the jail with smoke. The dryer had overheated, sparking the fire.

Jail staff controlled both the blaze and the inmates until fire units arrived.
