BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) _ The state Department of Mineral Resources says North Dakota oil production dropped in November from a record set a month earlier.

The agency says oil producers pumped an average of about 733,000 barrels of oil each day in November. That's down from a record 749,000 barrels daily in September.

Agency director Lynn Helms says drillers were hampered by harsh winter weather. He says companies also idled rigs as cost-cutting measures to keep within their annual budgets.
