JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) _ A North Dakota development corporation is hosting a roundtable Thursday to help craft a long-term plan for its local workforce.
The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation regional workforce roundtable is aimed at discussing and creating a long-term workforce development plan for the region encompassing Jamestown, Stutsman County, Valley City and Barnes County.
Expected to attend are industry leaders, local and state elected officials and economic developers from the region and eight surrounding counties.
A $1.3 billion Spiritwood nitrogen fertilizer plant set for construction in 2014 has sparked the need for the region to prepare for an influx of traffic and workers.
Business Development Coordinator DeAnn Brunner says it's important for representatives from all around the region to be involved in the discussions.
