NDSU names Mayo to head development foundation

FARGO, N.D. (AP) _ A vice president at Minnesota State University Mankato has been named president and CEO of the North Dakota State University Development Foundation and Alumni Association.

NDSU officials say Doug Mayo will take over duties on May 1. He replaces Jim Miller, who retired.

Mayo has been vice president for university advancement at the Mankato college since 2008. He previously worked in the agricultural schools at Colorado State and Purdue.

Says NDSU President Dean Bresciani (bruh-SHAW'-nee) of Mayo, ``His leadership will be instrumental in NDSU's future.''
