   WESTHOPE, N.D. (AP) _ A North Dakota man has been charged with killing another man with a rifle.
 
   48-year-old Timothy Carl Mundt has been charged in the shooting death of 40-year-old Jessie Kirk in Westhope earlier this month.
 
   Mundt is being held at the Bottineau County Sheriff's Department. His bond has been set at $500,000 cash or corporate surety.
 
   Authorities have withheld the circumstances surrounding the killing.
 
   A preliminary hearing in the case has not yet been set.
