BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) _ Two Democratic lawmakers are pushing a measure aimed at creating a panel to investigate alleged acts of wrongdoing by politicians.
House assistant Democratic leader Corey Mock of Grand Forks and Representative Ed Gruchalla of Fargo want the state to form a nine-member ethics commission.
Mock says North Dakota is one of three states without an ethics commission.
The Legislature has defeated past attempts to create an ethics commission.
Lobbyist Bill Shalhoob says an ethics commission is a ``solution to a problem that doesn't exist.'' He says voters will decide if politicians are ethical or not.
