WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) _ A gun raffle meant to double as a fundraiser for the West Fargo Hockey Association has been delayed for a month because of ``anticipated turnout.''
The association's website posted that the raffle, which had been planned for Friday, is postponed until April 13 because organizers have ``encountered permitting issues.'' The turnout was expected to be so large that it was moved from an events center in West Fargo to a Holiday Inn in Fargo.
The gaming permits pulled in West Fargo won't transfer to the new location.
Association Business Manager Mark Lester says the group will go through a review process with the gaming auditor in Fargo in hopes of getting approval.
North Dakota gun shops have reported shortages of firearms and ammunitions in recent months.
