BRAMPTON, N.D. (AP) _ A 22-year-old man from Brampton is in custody in what authorities say was a hit-and-run death in southeastern North Dakota over the weekend.
The Highway Patrol says the man was driving a pickup truck that hit a 28-year-old man on a rural, gravel road in Sargent County about 3 a.m. Sunday. The 28-year-old man was later pronounced dead at a hospital in Oakes. The patrol did not immediately identify him.
The driver of the pickup was arrested on a charge of leaving the scene of a fatal crash.
