DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) _ Emergency services officials will be in northeastern North Dakota to advise local authorities how to apply for reimbursement for damages to public infrastructure that occurred from flooding in April and May.
President Obama last month approved Gov. Jack Dalrymple's request for a federal disaster declaration to help 16 North Dakota counties and the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation.
The meetings to discuss public assistance and other grant programs are scheduled Thursday in Devils Lake and Friday in Grafton.
Counties eligible for state and federal funds to help pay for certain damages are Benson, Bottineau, Cass, Cavalier, Eddy, Foster, McHenry, Pembina, Ramsey, Renville, Richland, Rolette, Towner, Traill, Walsh and Wells.
