GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) _ The military says a family recreation center at the Grand Forks Air Force Base is slated to close Monday due to federal budget cuts.
The closure of the Parent & Child Center is the result of across-the-board budget cuts known as sequestration.
The recreational facility provides a play areas and games from bouncy balls to Legos.
The base earlier had closed its bowling alley for the summer to cut costs.
The military says there are still many activities for families to do while on base.
